Federico Chiesa<\/a> has spoken honestly about why the silence with which the Liverpool squad reacted to their latest loss against Brentford<\/a> was a good thing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Defeat at Brentford<\/a> was Liverpool\u2019s fourth consecutive Premier League<\/a> loss for the Reds. <\/p>\n

A midweek thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt had failed to turn the tide and, with Liverpool back to square one, frustration turned to silence in the Brentford<\/a> away changing room. <\/p>\n

Speaking to media including the Liverpool Echo<\/a>, Chiesa revealed: \u201cNo-one was speaking, because afterwards everyone knows. Sometimes you don\u2019t have to speak about the situation, you know what\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo no-one spoke because we have to think about what we can do better. Usually when we are in this situation, the first thing that comes to your mind is to give more, train harder.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was good that after the game we didn\u2019t talk because it\u2019s a sign that everyone wants to change. Everyone wants to change the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfterwards we went to the bus and then we started to talk about the situation and everyone wants to turn things around.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the main goal and the first thing is that we don\u2019t have to blame anything or anyone. It\u2019s many reasons and there\u2019s not just one thing. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t and I personally don\u2019t care if it\u2019s this or that that is causing us not to win. For me the most important thing is to work harder and then try to get the win.\u201d<\/p>\n

On a personal level, Chiesa has been performing well this season despite starting just one match in all competitions.<\/p>\n

Several of his teammates, however, are struggling, but the 28-year-old isn\u2019t worried about Liverpool\u2019s long-term future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always think positive and we have the quality and the players to bounce back and we have a fantastic manager, so I don\u2019t see any trouble,\u201d Chiesa added. <\/p>\n

\u201cI hope there\u2019s not going to be any trouble in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the beginning of the season we were winning and no-one was questioning this and that and whatever, so just we have to win because it\u2019s Liverpool.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have players that are world class and that can be put in any situation and will perform,\u201d he said. \u201cSo I don\u2019t see any problem.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Crystal Palace<\/a> wants to play long ball and long throw-ins, they are more than welcome to do so, because we\u2019re going to answer them with high intensity and winning duels, and trying to win.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if you say this in English, but in Italy we say, \u2018winning brings winning\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

In English, the equivalent phrase could be \u2018winning breeds winning\u2019, and that is a matter of mentality. <\/p>\n

It is far from Liverpool\u2019s only issue, but confidence is clearly lacking among members of the squad and the belief that they can pull back deficits is waning.<\/p>\n
