Pre-purchase for the limited-edition colored vinyl collections is available Wednesday on My Nintendo Store and at Laced Records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPer Nintendo, \u201cThe 8-LP Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Soundtrack Box Set includes 130 tracks, all newly remastered for the vinyl format. Each of the eight discs is sequenced around a theme, which mirrors the progression of the game experience. Themes revolve around exploring the Kingdom of Hyrule, freeing the Divine Beasts from Calamity Ganon\u2019s hold and discovering the mysteries of the Shrines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/wp-content\/themes\/pmc-variety-2020\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/BotW-Wide-8LP2LP-EXC-Front-Text.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"577\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe double-LP set features 34 select tracks, including \u201cOverworld (Day),\u201d \u201cGreat Fairy Fountain,\u201d and \u201cHyrule Castle,\u201d \u201call chosen to create an aural landscape that transports listeners back to the final days of the Great Calamity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCreated by composers Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, Hajime Wakai and Soshi Abe, the \u201cLegend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild\u201d soundtrack\u2019s vinyl release is a test case for future releases in the U.S. market. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIn the Japanese market, CD is still a pretty prominent format there, and they do a lot of video game soundtracks on CD in Japan, and they\u2019ve been doing that for years and years,\u201d Nintendo\u00a0Vice President, Player &amp; Product Experience Bill Trinen told Variety. \u201cHere in the U.S., we haven\u2019t been releasing much in the way of physical soundtracks at all. And so partly, this is a little bit about us trying to gage and understand what is the demand for physical soundtracks in the United States. Part of this is also simply an interest in trying to bring video game music to a broader audience, and it\u2019s part of a few steps that we\u2019ve taken.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe announcement of the \u201cZelda\u201d vinyl release comes as Nintendo is celebrating a different musical milestone: the one-year anniversary of its music streaming service for Switch Online subscribers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThis week actually, is the one year anniversary of the release of Nintendo Music, which is an exclusive music streaming service for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers,\u201d Trinen said. \u201cThere\u2019s an app that you can download for your phone that has retro soundtracks dating back to the NES era, all the way up to more modern soundtracks from the Switch, and even some music from the Switch 2 era on it, as well.
