Liverpool are in the midst of a terrible run of form and manager Arne Slot cannot afford to let it continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Reds have lost their last four games in the Premier League<\/a> and have dropped seven points behind leaders Arsenal in the title race.<\/p>\n Liverpool\u2019s 3-2 defeat to Brentford<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday (25 October) evening was the latest in a run of disappointing performances.<\/p>\n Slot<\/a> must get his side performing quickly, in order to give them any chance of retaining their Premier League crown.<\/p>\n Premier League legend\u00a0Matt Le Tissier<\/a> exclusively told\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong> that Slot should be given more time at Liverpool<\/a> and has credit in the bank from last season.<\/p>\n Everton\u2019s former chief Keith Wyness<\/a> \u2013 who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs \u2013 agrees with Le Tissier, but believes the Dutchman doesn\u2019t have long to turn things around.<\/p>\n Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider<\/strong>\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a>, Wyness insisted that if Liverpool\u2019s<\/a> poor Premier League form were to continue for another four games, then there would be real concern around Slot\u2019s future.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Wyness added that the 47-year-old\u2019s new contract at Anfield has very much been put on the back burner as a result of recent results.<\/p>\n He told Football Insider<\/strong>\u2018s Inside Track podcast: \u201cWe\u2019ve been talking about Slot\u2019s contract renegotiation and how those things can often slow down. Well, reports are coming out that negotiations have been put on hold.<\/p>\n \u201cHe will know himself, he\u2019s not in a great position to negotiate a new contract at this moment. I think that\u2019s as far as it would go though. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any real pressure on him at the moment. <\/p>\n \u201cIf this bad form in the Premier League were to carry on for another four games, then I think we might see some sort of real concern. Look, there\u2019s quality in that squad, and he\u2019s got to get them firing. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not a terminal problem, and I think they can get it right, and you would expect them to turn it around. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s an issue.
