Piccadilly Gardens is a public transport hub, a home to restaurants, bars, shops, and it is also a popular spot for its street food vendors.<\/p>\n
To see what they could pick up for \u00a315, Kalani Smith, known online as Kalani Ghost Hunter, visited the Manchester Piccadilly Street Food<\/a> Village.<\/p>\n In a video seen by more than 100,000 people online, Kalani reviewed some Jamaican food from Rita’s Reign<\/a> and a burger from Piccadilly Cantina.<\/p>\n He started the video by saying: “So we’re here in Manchester<\/a> at the Piccadilly Street Food Village, there’s a couple spots we wanna try – most importantly a Caribbean spot that’s supposed to serve some heavenly food.”<\/p>\n As he walks up and down the stalls, Kalani exclaims: “Oh my gosh, that smells incredible.”<\/p>\n Join our Manchester Food and Drink WhatsApp group HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Then he explained: “So we’re gonna start our little food adventure here at Rita’s Reign, they do Caribbean food. The smell coming off that chicken – insane.”<\/p>\n Kalani opted for a large mixed fusion box which contains boneless jerk chicken, curry goat, jollof rice, and rice and peas – which costs \u00a311 for a regular and \u00a312.50 for a large.<\/p>\n After being mildly attacked by a friendly Manchester pigeon, he got his food and dove straight in. Kalani gave an initial reaction of: “Oh, that’s so good,” before adding: “Hmm honestly for the price, this is a solid deal. So you get two types of rice, curry goat, jerk chicken, coleslaw and salad.”<\/p>\n He said: “The jerk chicken is really nice, there is a nice decent spice kick to it, but nothing too crazy.”<\/p>\n And when he tried the curry goat, he said: “The curry goat is super super tender, that is absolutely delicious.”<\/p>\n His rave review kept on going as he explained that despite “not being a coleslaw guy”, it was “pretty good”.<\/p>\n Kalani finishes up the review by saying if he were to return to Rita’s Reign, he would opt for just the curry goat because it was “just that good”.<\/p>\n After his Caribbean food, he headed over to a stall called Piccadilly Cantina and ordered a burger called the Kylo which is a double cheeseburger with spicy cheddar, jalapenos and sweet chilli which set him back \u00a38.<\/p>\n He reviewed: “The sauces they’re using on there are actually really nice. That’s a solid burger. Honestly for this quality, that’s a good price.<\/p>\n “Between the Jamaican food and the burger spot, there’s some good options. There were some other things down here that we could’ve tried but these two stuck out to me.”<\/p>\n Rita\u2019s Reign on Piccadilly Gardens<\/a> often has a queue stretching from the food market all the way towards Market Street<\/a> tram stop.
