Leeds United continue to keep tabs on Josh Sargent.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Norwich No.9 has long been linked with a move to Elland Road, and Leeds United News<\/strong> understand he remains of interest along with Coventry No.11 Haji Wright<\/a> \u2013 both strikers are being scouted.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke<\/a> actually signed Josh Sargent<\/a> for Norwich from Werder Bremen back in August 2021 for a sum of \u00a38m \u2013 and proceeded to share exactly what the American has that may be of interest to Leeds<\/a> right now.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke highlighted pace, aerial prowess and versatility when explaining Josh Sargent signing<\/p>\n

As quoted by the official Canaries<\/a> website at the time, the German said: \u201cWe\u2019re really happy to have Josh with us. He has a lot of experience in the top level in the Bundesliga. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a very good striking option for us but is someone who can also play on the wing. He has pace and is also good with his head. We think we have a player in Josh who can contribute and develop into a top goalscorer on Premier League level.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farke \u2013 who also praised Sargent for his work rate<\/a> \u2013 is yet to be proven right about that final point.<\/p>\n

Only two of Sargent\u2019s 54 goals for Norwich have come in the Premier League, so question marks remain over whether he can deliver the goods in England\u2019s top flight. <\/p>\n

Josh Sargent seems easier to sign than Haji Wright<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen which of the two \u2013 if any \u2013 Leeds bid for in January, but the Norwich talisman seems more obtainable than the Coventry star.<\/p>\n

Coventry are currently top of the Championship and look set for promotion, so Frank Lampard will be loathe to lose his frontman \u2013 who can boast nine goals in 13 games this term \u2013 in the middle of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Wright also has the FIFA World Cup<\/a> to consider, and any disruption to his electric form could lead Mauricio Pochettino to overlook him.<\/p>\n

In regards to Sargent, Norwich are 23rd in the Championship, and he was left out by Pochettino earlier this year for \u201cfootball reasons\u201d as Wright was selected instead.<\/p>\n
