\n\tNeve Campbell<\/a> is back to face Ghostface in the first trailer for \u201cScream 7<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe seventh installment was announced in August 2023 after the success of \u201cScream VI.\u201d Since the project was announced, \u201cScream 7\u201d has had major shakeups with production delays from the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, creative overhauls and some cast members not returning for the latest film.<\/p>\n

\n\tMelissa Barrera, who starred in the previous two films as Sam Carpenter, was removed from the cast due to her comments on social media about the Israel-Hamas war. Jenna Ortega, who co-starred with Barrera as her onscreen sister Tara Carpenter, exited the film due to a scheduling conflict with shooting Netflix\u2019s \u201cWednesday.\u201d Additionally, \u201cHappy Death Day\u201d director Christopher Landon dropped out of the project in December of 2023 and was replaced with Kevin Williamson, who is also the creator of the series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite the major changes, \u201cScream 7\u201d will feature a few familiar faces. David Arquette<\/a>, Matthew Lillard<\/a> and Scott Foley are reprising their deceased characters from past films, and Campbell <\/a>is back leading the franchise in her role as Sidney Prescott.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe returning cast also includes Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown, as well as newcomers Isabel May, Celeste O\u2019Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mark Consuelos and Ethan Embry.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cScream 7\u201d will release in theaters on Feb. 27, 2026. <\/p>\n
