The Royal Family website has appeared to make a blunder as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is still listed as “Duke of York”.<\/p>\n

Earlier this evening, Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles has decided to strip his younger brother of his royal titles and oust him from Royal Lodge, his home since 2003.<\/p>\n

The statement read: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.<\/p>\n

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.<\/p>\n

“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.<\/p>\n

“Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.<\/p>\n

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.<\/p>\n

“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”<\/p>\n

Despite this turn of events, Andrew Moutbatten Windsor is still listed on the Royal Family website as “Duke of York” in the Line of Succession segment.<\/p>\n

Andrew ceased using his Duke of York title on October 17, confirming his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, would also stop being known as the Duchess of York.<\/p>\n

The ex-couple divorced in 1996, but have remained on very good terms.<\/p>\n

In 2003, Andrew moved into Royal Lodge, followed by Fergie five years later.<\/p>\n

Tonight’s removal process applies to Andrew\u2019s titles of Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, Baron Killyleagh and the style “His Royal Highness”.<\/p>\n

The honours affected are Prince Andrew\u2019s Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.<\/p>\n

GB News understands that King Charles acted swiftly following recent developments, which led to his brother relinquishing the use of his titles and honours as soon and efficiently possible.<\/p>\n
