King Charles III<\/strong><\/a> can sleep soundly after new no-fly restrictions were approved for his Sandringham estate.<\/p>\n

The royal family\u2019s security services requested new restrictions<\/a> on March 4, according to The Sun<\/a> after drones were reportedly seen flying over the estate. The drones were reportedly traced back to a man sitting in a nearby car.<\/p>\n

Britain\u2019s Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander<\/strong> signed off on the order on March 10, according to Hello!<\/a>. The new guidelines restrict aircraft from flying below 2,000 feet at Sandringham, which is Charles, 76, and wife Queen Consort Camilla<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s country home that boasts 20,000 acres.<\/p>\n

The restrictions are in place \u201cfor reasons of public safety and security,\u201d per the outlet, which reported that the order states: \u201cThese Regulations impose restrictions on flying in the vicinity of Sandringham House, Norfolk.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSandringham Estate, one of the beloved royal residences of King Charles III, has reopened after temporarily closing for \u201chealth and safety\u201d reasons. The estate announced its decision to close part of its Winter Light Trail on Saturday, December 7, via Instagram Story, citing \u201chealth and safety\u201d concerns caused by severe weather from Storm Darragh. \u201cAll [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Royal air travel, visitors\u2019 planes and police and emergency service planes are exempt from the order.<\/p>\n

The order concluded: \u201cIn view of the need for security for members of the Royal Family and other dignitaries staying at or visiting Sandringham House and at the request of the security services, it has been agreed by the Civil Aviation Authority and the Department for Transport that flying should be restricted in the vicinity of that location for reasons of public safety and security.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new flying rules were ordered just days after Charles hosted Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky<\/strong><\/a> at the estate amid Ukraine\u2019s ongoing war with Russia.<\/p>\n
