COMEDY legend Peter Kay is making a triumphant return next year to Glasgow\u2019s OVO Hydro.<\/p>\n

The Bolton<\/a>-born comic, 52, has added extra dates to his record-breaking Better Late Than Never\u2026 Again! tour.<\/p>\n

The comedian played social club manager Brian Potter in iconic sitcom Phoenix NightsCredit: Channel 4<\/p>\n

The hotly anticipated stage show was dubbed the \u201cmost successful stand-up runs in British<\/a> comedy history\u201c.<\/p>\n

However the funnyman \u2013 famed for his \u2018garlic bread\u2019 catchphrase \u2013 has been hit with a string of scandals on his latest run of shows.<\/p>\n

The comic hit the headlines after he likened a heckler to bubbly Emmerdale actress\u00a0Lisa Riley.<\/a><\/p>\n

He then went on to savagely suggest that she\u2019d had too much to drink.<\/p>\n

After instructing security to remove the woman, he said: \u201cHave a drink, have we?<\/p>\n

\u201cGo on, off you go\u00a0Lisa Riley.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lisa is now nine years sober after admitting to drinking two bottles of wine a night.<\/p>\n

The soap<\/a> star previously confessed she \u201cdrowned her feelings in alcohol\u201d following her mother\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Weeks later, Kay threatened to set security on rowdy fans<\/a> at his London<\/a> O2 performance.<\/p>\n

And in another dig at fans, he brutally booted a heckler out of his show for shouting \u201cgarlic bread\u201d.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, comedy king Kay was forced to postpone two shows after having surgery<\/a> for his kidney stones.<\/p>\n

The Phenix Nights star takes to the stage on Saturday 4 April and tickets go on sale this Saturday.<\/p>\n

Debbie McWilliams, Chief Commercial Officer at the Scottish Event Campus hailed the comic\u2019s stage return.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeter has a long association with the Scottish Event Campus, dating back to his first appearance at the SEC in 2010 and subsequent tours of 2011 and 2023, which visited the OVO Hydro.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis shows here have been among some of our most anticipated, his dates in 2023 sold out within minutes.<\/p>\n
