The floating hotel in Leith will welcome some festive magic for guests this year. <\/p>\n

The Fingal is a former Northern Lighthouse vessel now permanently berthed in Leith and the five star hotel has announced a range of Christmas-related events which begin in November. <\/p>\n

Here are some of the events on offer:<\/p>\n

Festive Afternoon Tea \u2013 12pm to 3.30pm daily \u2013 19\u00a0November until 4\u00a0January\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Served in the ship\u2019s Lighthouse Restaurant, Fingal\u2019s galley team have created a new festive afternoon tea to offer guests and non-residents one of the most decadent of British traditions in a world-class foodie destination with a nautical twist.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Standout savouries include aged beef bourguignon with potato pur\u00e9e and crispy onions; and Stilton, fig and walnut tart with ruby port gel.\u00a0Enjoy festive navettes, including oak smoked salmon with dill cr\u00e8me fraiche; and Lothian turkey with cranberry butter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Freshly baked buttermilk scones lead to a finale of sweet delights, including a chestnut sable with vanilla Chantilly; a coconut snowball with caramel praline; and gingerbread with Mouneyrac pear and Valrhona chocolate.<\/p>\n

Christmas Wreath Workshop \u2013 10.30am to 1pm \u2013 Sunday 7\u00a0December\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A luxury Christmas wreath-making workshop with an eco-friendly touch. Taking place in Fingal\u2019s festive ballroom, experts will guide guests through decorating their own locally sourced wreath with fresh foliage and sustainable decorations, whilst enjoying mulled cider and handcrafted sweet delicacies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hogmanay the Fingal Way \u2013 Wednesday 31 December\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Open to residents and non-residents, Fingal\u2019s ticketed Hogmanay event takes place in the ship\u2019s ballroom \u2013 a glamorous space with sweeping staircases. Live lounge music will fill the air and good company will keep the celebration going until midnight when the stirring sounds of a piper marks the new year. Ring in the bells with the unique spectacle of sabrage using Fingal\u2019s ceremonial sword, then dive into a hearty treat of a traditional dram and stovies. Sparkling fountains will create a stunning spectacle, a memorable start to 2026.<\/p>\n
