It doesn’t take a genius to work out Nick Woltemade is loving life at Newcastle. The \u00a369million club record signing has hit the ground running since his summer move from Stuttgart and already has six goals in 11 appearances.<\/p>\n

He is popular on the terraces and he is popular in the dressing room, too, something head coach Eddie Howe<\/a> has routinely pointed out since his arrival in August.<\/p>\n

Fellow German speaker Fabian Schar<\/a> has been a big help with helping Woltemade<\/a> settle down but the 23-year-old’s excellent command of English has helped him make friendships elsewhere in the team, too.<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle for the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.<\/p>\n

And that has made the transition into the post-Alexander Isak era for Newcastle appear pretty seamless.<\/p>\n

“As tall as he is immense,” Schar told Sky Sports in a wholesome post-match interview after Woltemade scored in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup fourth round.<\/p>\n

“What a guy, honestly. Not that he is just scoring goals, he is a great character and adding to the team. He fully deserves it. He has settled in so well and I am really happy for him and for the whole team to have him here.”<\/p>\n

Woltemade bagged the second goal in the win over Spurs with a glancing header from Joe Willock’s cross. But it is work off the ball that is just as impressive.<\/p>\n

His understanding with the wingers and midfielders is noticeably growing game on game and his ability to lead the press from the front has helped him adapt to the ‘Newcastle way’ in which, perhaps, other signings have not.<\/a><\/p>\n

“I think for him it is a little bit easy to score a lot of goals with the head,” Sandro Tonali told ITV Sport after the win.<\/p>\n

“But he is a very good player and he ran the whole 90 minutes every time. Since he played with us he is the first defender and the first striker and it is a pleasure to play with Nick.”<\/p>\n

There have been no teething issues and the Germany international has wasted little time in establishing himself as a key member of the Newcastle squad. It’s been much needed after Alexander Isak’s departure and the injury to Yoane Wissa.<\/p>\n

With the Magpies still competing on four fronts, long may that continue.<\/p>\n
