A superyacht formerly owned by sanctioned Russian Senator Suleiman Kerimov has been sold at auction, likely to the family of Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani, the exiled news outlet Vyorstka reported<\/a> Friday.<\/p>\n

The sale of the 106-meter Amadea to an undisclosed owner for an undisclosed price took place on Sept. 10 under the supervision of U.S. authorities.<\/p>\n

The British Virgin Islands-based Beyond Holdings Group was listed as the superyacht’s owner as of Oct. 10, Vyorstka cited maritime database Equasis as saying.<\/p>\n

Beyond Holdings Group is registered at the Executive Heights office complex in Dubai\u2019s Barsha Heights district, a property owned by Sajwani\u2019s Damac Group.<\/p>\n

The firm was also\u00a0known<\/a> as AHS Four Company until March 2025. The acronym AHS likely stands for Abbas Hussain Sajwani, Hussain Sajwani\u2019s son and a board member of Damac Properties. Abbas Sajwani is also linked to the 66-meter yacht AHS<\/a>, according to yacht registries.<\/p>\n

Hussain Sajwani is the founder and chairman of Damac Group, one of the Middle East\u2019s largest luxury real estate developers with projects across the Gulf, Britain and the United States.<\/p>\n

Damac\u2019s properties appear to be popular among wealthy Russian buyers, including Irina Viner, the ex-wife of billionaire Alisher Usmanov, who reportedly bought<\/a> eight apartments in Damac Bay in 2023, according to the Sirena news outlet.<\/p>\n

The family of State Duma deputy Alexander Prokopyev purchased<\/a> 12 apartments in Damac towers the previous year, an investigation by late Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny’s team said.<\/p>\n

Sajwani is a longtime business partner and ally of U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump\u2019s 2017 financial disclosures showed he earned $5 million from a joint project with Damac. The company operates<\/a> the Trump International Golf Club in Dubai and announced plans<\/a> to invest $20 billion in U.S. data centers following Trump\u2019s 2024 election victory.<\/p>\n

The Amadea was seized in Fiji in May 2022 at the request of U.S. authorities as part of sanctions<\/a> enforcement against Kerimov and later transferred to San Diego.<\/p>\n

A U.S. federal court in New York authorized its sale in June 2025, and the yacht was auctioned<\/a> off this fall.<\/p>\n

While the U.S. Department of Justice estimated the vessel\u2019s value at up to $300 million, independent appraisers put it closer to $230 million, Vyorstka reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Built by the German shipyard L\u00fcrssen, the Amadea\u00a0features<\/a> six decks, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, a spa, a cinema, a private office, a gym and a helipad. Its centerpiece is a hand-painted Pleyel piano inlaid with 24-karat gold.<\/p>\n

Former crew members told Vyorstka that one attendant was assigned to always keep Kerimov\u2019s favorite sneakers ready on board.<\/p>\n

Sajwani is the second of Trump\u2019s business partners to acquire a yacht previously linked to a Russian political figure.<\/p>\n

Previously, American car magnate John Staluppi purchased the 74-meter Casino Royale, which had reportedly been used<\/a> by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.<\/p>\n

The yacht was reportedly once equipped with secure communications for the Kremlin and often escorted by Russian Navy vessels in domestic waters.<\/p>\n

Staluppi\u2019s ties to Trump<\/a> date back to 1988, when he licensed the Trump name for his limousine rental company.<\/p>\n

He also built luxury Cadillac limousines under the Trump Golden Series and Trump Executive Series brands, vehicles Trump personally endorsed<\/a> and used at his Atlantic City casinos.
