And he said he wants to see a separate investigation launched into the actions of police and Crown Prosecution Service bosses, who refused to pursue a case against the former royal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"mirror\">Mr Davies, who was head of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/scotland\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland<\/a> Yard\u2019s Royal Protection Command between 1994 and 1998, told the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Mirror<\/a>: \u201cI want him to be investigated. He\u2019s not going to be living on the side of the road. She\u2019d be so proud. And what did they do at every level along the chain? Who decided not to pursue it? At what level did they make the decision? The publication of her posthumous memoirs last month intensified pressure on the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/royals\/\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Royal Family<\/a> over Andrew\u2019s friendship with the late paedophile financier <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/jeffrey-epstein\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"mirror\">Virginia alleged she was forced to have sex with Andrew three times \u2013 once at convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell\u2019s mews home in London, once at Epstein\u2019s mansion in Manhattan, and once on Epstein\u2019s private isle Little St James. She also added that she thought Andrew \u201cbelieved that having sex with me was his birthright\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"mirror\">Andrew, who has always denied the allegations, reached an out-of-court settlement with her in 2022, which contained no admission of liability or apology. The decision to strip Andrew of the title of prince came after the emergence of emails from 2011 which showed Andrew had maintained contact with Epstein, despite previously claiming otherwise<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"mirror\">Gloria Allred, who represents a number of Epstein\u2019s victims, today said Andrew should volunteer to travel to the US and speak to investigators \u201cunder oath\u201d.
