Huge crowds have gathered this evening to enjoy the spooky spectacle of Halloween in Londonderry. <\/p>\n

Spectators dressed up as their favourite characters from the world of fiction with the TV series Squid Game having a major influence on costume choices. <\/p>\n

Visitors travelled from as far away as America and Canada to watch the main parade on Friday night. <\/p>\n

It began at 7pm before people flocked to the banks of the River Foyle in time to see the firework finale at 8.15pm. <\/p>\n

Bedazzled observers were dressed for the occasion with cult classics such as Hocus Pocus and Beetlejuice represented. <\/p>\n

‘It’s a Belfast Staple’: Shoppers scramble for Halloween Costumes at Elliotts Fancy Dress<\/p>\n

The hit Netflix show Wednesday also inspired costume choices. <\/p>\n
