UK Press via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The shocking Thursday announcement that Andrew would no longer be known as a prince came after days of legal wrangling between palace officials and lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>Besides now being known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Queen Elizabeth\u2019s second son is being pushed out of his home, Royal Lodge, and banished to Sandringham, King Charles\u2019 personal estate in Norfolk, England.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just the latest, and \u2014 so far \u2014 most brutal, rung down the shame ladder in Andrew\u2019s fall from grace.<\/p>\n<p>The former prince, 65, continues to be mired in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal after being accused of sleeping with accuser Virginia Giuffre when she was just 17.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And Giuffre, who passed away in April, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/30\/world-news\/virginia-giuffres-family-celebrates-her-courage-after-prince-andrews-humiliating-downfall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">continues to get her revenge from the grave <\/a>\u2014 writing in her recently released posthumous memoir that Andrew kissed her feet before allegedly abusing her.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew biographer Andrew Lownie said the former prince\u2019s daughers, Princesses Beatrice (left) and Eugenie, may decide to give up their own titles. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was friendly enough, but still entitled \u2014 as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright,\u201d Giuffre wrote.<\/p>\n<p>While Andrew is the one accused, his daughters have to carry the burden of shame themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, are said to be adored by their Uncle Charles, as well as their cousin Prince William, the heir to the throne \u2014\u00a0which may make the sting of embarrassment even worse, even as palace source insisted that the princesses are not at risk losing their own titles<\/p>\n<p>A London insider who has spoken to Beatrice told Page Six, \u201cShe is heartbroken and doesn\u2019t know why it all had to come down to this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both Beatrice and Eugenie are married mothers-of-two. AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>And a well-placed palace source insisted, \u201cBeatrice and Eugenie should not be tarnished by the so called sins of the father, they are very sweet girls \u2026 I would get those York girls to work.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two are not officially working royals, meaning taxpayers do not pay for their duties \u2014\u00a0nor is there any reason to think they will ever be added, given Charles and William\u2019s shared desire for a slimmed-down monarchy.<\/p>\n<p>Beatrice \u2014\u00a0who has two daughters with her husband,\u00a0Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi \u2014 and Eugenie, who shares two daughters with husband Jack Brooksbank, both fled the UK before the news of their father\u2019s final downfall was announced Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>King Charles was last seen with his younger brother Andrew in September, for a memorial service for the Duchess of Kent. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The princesses both have jobs but they have stepped in as needed to help Prince William host garden parties at Buckingham Palace, and both do charity work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI suspect they are better at reading the room than Andrew \u2026 the days of freebies and using your title for work are numbered,\u201d said Lownie. \u201cThey\u2019ve also seen their mother \u2018blag\u2019 for 40 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, it\u2019s not just their father who has brought embarrassment to the family. The princesses\u2019 mother, Sarah Ferguson \u2014\u00a0who was stripped of her \u201cDuchess of York\u201d title in October \u2014\u00a0has also been a source of humiliation.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, Ferguson publicly apologized after she was caught out by an undercover journalist offering to sell access to Andrew for $500,000.<\/p>\n<p>Author Lownie said Andrew will now spend his days horse riding and golfing. Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>She took a $20,000 loan from Epstein in the aughts and, in September of this year, several charities <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/22\/world-news\/sarah-ferguson-in-gushing-emails-to-dear-friend-jeffrey-epstein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dropped her over leaked emails <\/a>that secretly apologized to the convicted pedophile after trashing him in public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know you feel hellaciously let down by me from what you were either told or read\u00a0and\u00a0I must humbly apologize to you and your heart for that,\u201d she wrote to the man she called \u201cdear Jeffrey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also sold photos of Princess Beatrice to Hello! magazine after the 1988 birth, earning about $337,000 but breaking royal protocol.<\/p>\n<p>Activists from the anti-monarchy group Republic protested outside Royal Lodge earlier this month. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>In 1990, while still wed to Andrew, she started an extramarital affair with Texan businessman Steve Wyatt, and in 1992, while in the midst of a separation, Ferguson was pictured having her toes sucked by American John Bryan.<\/p>\n<p>Despite divorcing Andrew in 1996, Ferguson has lived with the former prince for the past several years at Royal Lodge and the two are said to be thick as thieves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of Sarah\u2019s friends told me they are more worried about Sarah than Andrew,\u201d a royal source said of Fergie\u2019s reaction to Andrew\u2019s latest shame, as well as losing her home. \u201cShe\u2019s at the end of her tether.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ferguson is said to be \u201cat the end of her tether,\u201d according to friends. UK Press via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>It was made clear by the palace this week that Ferguson will now have to find her own place to live.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSarah is very upset, her whole world has crumbled,\u201d Lownie said of Ferguson, who used the Duchess of York title on countless books she has authored. \u201cIt would not surprise me if she were to move to Switzerland and live there as a tax exile . . . she loves her skiing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for Andrew, sources said they expect him \u2014 a man who reportedly once relished being seen in public \u2014\u00a0to fade into the background.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew attended King Charles\u2019 coronation in May 2023. ZUMAPRESS.com<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAndrew\u2019s of the age where some men retire ride and play golf and watch TV and spend time with children and grandchildren \u2013 what else can he do?\u201d said the royal source.<\/p>\n<p>While American politicians continue to call for Andrew to testify about Epstein before the<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/02\/us-news\/house-oversight-committee-releases-more-than-30k-pages-of-epstein-files-provided-by-doj\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> US House of Representatives\u2019 Oversight Committee, <\/a>and London\u2019s Metropolitan Police have said they are \u201cactively looking\u201d into claims <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/20\/world-news\/police-investigating-claims-prince-andrew-asked-bodyguard-for-dirt-on-virginia-giuffre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the former prince tried to use his police bodyguard<\/a> to smear Giuffre\u2019s reputation, he currently faces no charges.<\/p>\n<p>And though he did settle out of court with Giuffre for multi millions in 2022, he has never been charged or convicted of crimes related to Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew and Sarah will move out of Royal Lodge by the New Year, according to sources. REX<\/p>\n<p>To some, that makes the decision this week all the more shocking. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the move was venomous. He has not been arrested or charged, and he has always insisted he did nothing wrong,\u201d said an insider who knows the former prince. \u201cIt just shows how much the entire family doesn\u2019t like Andrew.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And some wonder if it\u2019s a sign that the other shoe is about to drop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarry must be quite scared,\u201d said one insider after Andrew\u2019s titles disappeared.
