Police are hunting a group of men who racially abused and attacked a woman with a ‘handheld electrical stun device.’<\/p>\n

The victim, said to be in her 50s, was on Waddens Brook Lane, Wolverhampton, when she was approached by around four or five men around 6.30pm on Monday (27 October).<\/p>\n

The men, in their 20s, were all wearing dark clothing with their hoods up and tried to hit her with a weapon resembling a ‘metal bar.’<\/p>\n

They then assaulted her with a handheld electrical stun device.<\/p>\n

She sustained pain to her neck and shoulders in the attack.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> have said that at least one of the offenders was described as white and are appealing for information.<\/p>\n

The woman’s ethnicity or CCTV has not been released at this stage.<\/p>\n

Detective Inspector Racheal Allen, from our Major Crime Unit said: \u201cThis was a nasty assault with a racially aggravated element and we\u2019re working hard to find those responsible.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information including dashcam footage and CCTV to please contact us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement added: “People can contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 20\/425344\/25.<\/p>\n
