A Birmingham restaurant addressed a ‘challenging’ concern ahead of its opening.<\/p>\n

OMNOM Birmingham will be an Indian vegan restaurant in a city which has seen a number of closures.<\/p>\n

In January, <\/a>Somewhere in Brum made the ‘difficult process’ to add meat to its menu after starting off as a vegetarian restaurant.<\/p>\n

Months later, the Jewellery Quarter restaurant closed its doors for the final time.<\/p>\n

Before then, vegetarian restaurant Bundobust closed in 2024 after 12 months, and cited reasons down to a lack of ‘consistent trade’.<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite the closures, OMNOM is opening with a unique twist.<\/p>\n

Whilst OMNOM will retain a menu similar to Somewhere in Brum and Bundobust, the restaurant will include a yoga & meditation studio..<\/p>\n

The 150-cover restaurant will provide more than a dining experience and the menu is curated by restaurant group Namaste Village.<\/p>\n

BirminghamLive spoke to Namaste Village founder Vijay Jetani about whether Birmingham still has an appetite for vegetarian and vegan restaurants.<\/p>\n

Vijay responded: “It\u2019s sad that Birmingham<\/a> has lost wonderful vegetarian restaurants like Somewhere in Brum and Bundobust.<\/p>\n

“It can be challenging but we\u2019re coming in equipped with a very unique concept that goes far beyond just food.<\/p>\n

“OMNOM is not just another restaurant; it\u2019s a celebration of life, community, and compassion.<\/p>\n

“We bring together vegan & vegetarian Indian dining, live music, and wellbeing experiences in a space that feeds both body and soul.<\/p>\n

“What sets us apart is that OMNOM is also a registered charity: for every meal served, a child in need is fed somewhere in the world.<\/p>\n

“Birmingham\u2019s community is bursting with creative energy, culture, and celebration, from Diwali lights to Digbeth<\/a>\u2019s art scene, from street food festivals to soulful music nights.<\/p>\n

“Our expansive 150-cover restaurant and OMspace studio can host private hire events, corporate gatherings, wellness workshops, and cultural evenings.<\/p>\n

“Our collaboration with Namaste Village, one of the UK\u2019s leading vegetarian restaurant groups, ensures authentic flavours and a proven hospitality experience.<\/p>\n
