Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Lisandro Martinez<\/strong><\/a> will not feature<\/a> for Manchester United<\/a> against Nottingham Forest<\/a> despite returning to training on Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n Martinez rejoined the senior squad at Carrington<\/a> for the first time since knee surgery curtailed last season for him. The defender sustained a cruciate ligament injury late on during a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace<\/a> at Old Trafford<\/a> in February.<\/p>\n He missed the final 23 matches of last term and has been out for the first 10 of this campaign. Martinez’s absence from the matchday squad now extends into November, approaching nine months since he suffered the setback.<\/p>\n Amorim<\/a> remains cautious with the Argentina international. “He [Martinez] wants to go to this one, he is not going to this one, he is going to take time,” the United head coach said during his pre-match press conference.<\/p>\n “He started training with us, but we had to change some things in the exercise for him, so slowly he is going to get better. He is really good, he is really good, and he gives us that edge in every training session, and that is also really good for us.”<\/p>\n Martinez, however, is the only United player officially ruled out. Amorim added on Thursday: “The rest of the guys, we have one more day [of training], I don’t know about Harry Maguire<\/strong>. I think the rest is fit.”<\/p>\n Maguire<\/a> missed the 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion with a knock and remains a doubt. Leny Yoro<\/a> replaced the central defender at Old Trafford last weekend.<\/p>\n Those comments suggest Mason Mount<\/a> is fit again after dropping out of the starting line-up against Brighton. That quartet includes Angus Gunn<\/strong> (knee), Chris Wood<\/strong> (knee), Dilane Bakwa<\/strong> (knock), Ola Aina<\/strong> (hamstring) and Oleksandr Zinchenko<\/strong> (groin).<\/p>\n “I have made a note of them because we have got a couple of knocks,” Dyche said at his pre-match press conference. “Angus Gunn hasn’t been playing but is part of the squad, but he has opened up his knee ligaments.<\/p>\n “Woody is going to be possible for the Leeds game; he won’t make this one. We will have to see how that goes.<\/p>\n “Ola is making good progress. Zinchenko is a no at the moment, unfortunately, and it is going to be a bit longer than we thought.<\/p>\n “Bakwa is still a no, but is making good progress. I’m having to read them off a list so I don’t forget them.<\/p>\n “We’re hoping no more occur, that’s for sure.
