As Joe Rodon outscores the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Joel Piroe at Leeds, Joe Gelhardt is shining away from Yorkshire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 23-year-old has netted five goals in 12 Championship appearances so far this season on loan at Hull City, also providing one assist to help the Tigers sit eighth at the time of writing.<\/p>\n

Some Leeds<\/a> fans might have wondered if Joe Gelhardt<\/a> will therefore be recalled as Calvert-Lewin and Piroe struggle for goals, but Beren Cross of The Athletic<\/a> believes that will not be happening.<\/p>\n

Leeds to allow Joe Gelhardt to see out the season at Hull<\/p>\n

The respected journalist states that Gelhardt will be staying with Hull City \u2013 who also wanted Darko Gyabi<\/a> \u2013 until the summer.<\/p>\n

Largie Ramazani and Mateo Joseph will also not be recalled from loan spells at Valencia and Mallorca respectively as things stand.<\/p>\n

However, Cross states that Leeds have a recall clause in the deal which saw Ramazani loaned to Valencia, which might be triggered if he remains on the bench \u2013 he only has 90 minutes of action across five appearances in La Liga.<\/p>\n

Joseph has enjoyed a much more productive time in Spain so far, scoring two goals and providing two assists in nine La Liga outings, accumulating 518 minutes of action.<\/p>\n

Cross says Leeds made sure not to allow Mallorca to have a purchase option in this deal, so his future will be reassessed back at Elland Road in the summer.<\/p>\n

Hint made that Leeds will look to sell Joe Gelhardt<\/p>\n

Gelhardt \u2013 who made a mistake<\/a> last time out \u2013 is a top talent, but it sounds as if Leeds might be looking to cash in this summer rather than keep him around.<\/p>\n

Cross says Leeds will \u201chope\u201d the striker attracts a decent transfer fee this summer due to his displays at Hull City, by which point he will only have 12 months remaining on his contract.<\/p>\n

That would suggest the loan to Hull City is not designed to develop Gelhardt into a striker Daniel Farke can use next season, but more to ramp up his value as a saleable asset. <\/p>\n
