A third dispersal order has been issued to tackle anti-social behaviour in Greater Manchester this weekend.<\/p>\n
As previously reported<\/a>, two 48-hour orders were already in place for large areas of Manchester.<\/p>\n One covered much of Didsbury<\/a>, Withington<\/a> and parts of Chorlton<\/a>, while the second covered Gorton<\/a> and Abbey Hey.<\/p>\n Both orders were imposed at 6.15pm on Friday, October 31, and run through to the same time on Sunday evening, November 2.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News <\/strong>WhatsApp<\/strong> group <\/strong>HERE<\/a><\/p>\n Now, a third order has been issued by police, covering three suburbs in the Trafford<\/a> borough.<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says the latest order covers Stretford<\/a>, Urmston<\/a> and Flixton until 11.59pm tonight (November 1).<\/p>\n Unlike the previous two orders, GMP has given a specific reason for the move in Trafford.<\/p>\n It says the order follows reports from residents of anti-social use of fireworks by youths.<\/p>\n A GMP Trafford spokesperson said: “GMP have issued a dispersal order in response to recent incidents involving the antisocial use of fireworks by youths in Stretford, Urmston and Flixton areas of Trafford.<\/p>\n “These powers allow officers to move individuals on and prevent gatherings that may lead to disorder or distress. The order is in effect until 23:59 on Saturday, November 1 2025.<\/p>\n “We urge everyone to be responsible with fireworks – misuse can cause harm, distress, and lead to criminal consequences. Please enjoy Bonfire Night safely and respectfully.<\/p>\n “We\u2019re committed to keeping our communities safe. Please report any concerns or incidents via 101 or online.
