{"id":54218,"date":"2025-04-27T07:48:07","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T07:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/54218\/"},"modified":"2025-04-27T07:48:07","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T07:48:07","slug":"reeves-signals-support-for-under-30s-visa-scheme-ahead-of-brexit-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/54218\/","title":{"rendered":"Reeves signals support for under 30s visa scheme ahead of Brexit summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A major Conservative donor has defected to Reform UK, giving Nigel Farage\u2019s party a pledge of \u00a31m to \u201cbring this country back to its glory\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Bassim Haidar has been one of the biggest financial backers of the Tories in recent times, and gave the party more than \u00a3700,000 under Rishi Sunak\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n<p>He resigned as a Tory member last year, believing the party had \u201clost its way\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Haidar, who made his money in technology, told The Telegraph that Farage could become the next Prime Minister and believed his financial backing could help other wealthy individuals do the same.<\/p>\n<p>He has already given Reform more than \u00a3200,000 ahead of next week\u2019s local elections.<\/p>\n<p>Haidar said: \u201cI\u2019ve always been pro-business and I always supported parties that supported businesses.
