A man has been arrested after a car crashed into the front of a house. Merseyside Police<\/a> confirmed officers were called to an incident on Saxon Way, Kirkby<\/a>, earlier this evening following reports of a crash.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived at the scene at around 4.40pm on Saturday to find a Seat Ateca had collided with the house.<\/p>\n

The occupant of the house was uninjured but “shaken up” by the incident, a spokesperson for the force said. Police carried out a search and located a 38-year-old man from Kirkdale<\/a> and arrested him on suspicion of a number of offences<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These included failing to stop, dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to provide a drug sample.<\/p>\n

He has been taken to a police station for questioning.<\/p>\n

Images seen by the ECHO<\/a> in local Facebook<\/a> groups appeared to show damage to the front of a house and the suspected vehicle in the front garden. Debris can be seen on the floor around the car.<\/p>\n

Merseyside Police<\/a> told the ECHO: “We have arrested a man following an incident in Kirkby this afternoon, Saturday, November 1.<\/p>\n

“At around 4.40pm, officers were called to Saxon Way to reports of a Seat Ateca in collision with a house.<\/p>\n

“The occupant was thankfully uninjured but left shaken up.”Following enquiries, a 38-year-old man from Kirkdale was located and arrested on suspicion of multiple offences including failing to stop, dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to provide a drug sample.”<\/p>\n
