Benson Boone was due to perform at Birmingham Utilita Arena on Saturday night but cancelled just an hour before he was due on stage after ‘trying everything’<\/p>\n

American pop sensation Benson Boone pulled his Birmingham concert at the eleventh hour, leaving fans devastated just 60 minutes before showtime.<\/p>\n

The singer had been due to take to the stage at Birmingham<\/a> Utilita Arena on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

But an hour before the performance he confirmed he could not make it.<\/p>\n

Writing on Instagram, he shared: “Birmingham I am so so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight.<\/p>\n

“I have tried everything I can to revive my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now.<\/p>\n

“I am working with my team to find a date to reschedule as soon as possible.”<\/p>\n

He added: “This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry. I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you.<\/p>\n

“I’ll update you guys as soon as I can. “Thank you for everything you do. I love you guys so much. B.”<\/p>\n

The Utilita Arena<\/a> issued a statement apoligising for the ‘extremely short notice and inconvenience caused’ and clarifying what fans should do next.<\/p>\n

It read: “We’re sorry to share that Benson Boone’s show tonight, Saturday 1st November, at Utilita Arena Birmingham has been cancelled due to artist illness.<\/p>\n

“We’re working through all possible options to reschedule.<\/p>\n

“Ticket holders will be contacted directly as soon as we have an update.<\/p>\n

“We understand how disappointing this is and sincerely apolgise for the extremely short notice and the inconvenience caused.<\/p>\n

“We’re sending Benson our best wishes for a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n

“For any questions, please contact your ticket provider directly.”<\/p>\n

Roads around the arena were said to be heavily congested earlier after the cancelled performance.<\/p>\n

The artist has not yet clarified whether his remaining three UK performances will go ahead.<\/p>\n
