Prince Harry’s scathing remarks about his disgraced uncle have resurfaced as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor becomes embroiled in fresh controversy once more.<\/p>\n

Following Meghan Markle’s entrance into the Royal Family<\/a> after her wedding to Harry there was authentic enthusiasm, with the Sussexes joining Prince William<\/a> and Princess Kate to form what became dubbed the ‘Fab Four’.<\/p>\n

However, beneath the surface, the situation was considerably less harmonious than it appeared.<\/p>\n

Whilst Harry and Meghan performed admirably during formal appearances, embracing their public responsibilities with aplomb, they were secretly grappling with significant challenges.<\/p>\n

Meghan <\/a>later revealed she experienced mental health difficulties and even considered taking her own life.<\/p>\n

Their bonds with other prominent royals were simultaneously crumbling, with Harry <\/a>confessing prior to their exit from Britain that he and his sibling were pursuing “different paths”.<\/p>\n

Their declaration of intent to withdraw from full-time Royal responsibilities sent tremors across the nation.<\/p>\n

After the late Queen and her counsellors decided there could be no ‘half-in, half-out’ compromise for the duo, various benefits of their Royal position, including their police security, were swiftly removed.<\/p>\n

This stands in sharp contrast to how the disgraceful former Prince Andrew has been handled, as he once again faces fierce examination regarding the numerous scandals engulfing him, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In his autobiography, the Duke of Sussex asserted that he and Meghan were subject to the same elevated “threat level” as the late Queen.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it came as an enormous surprise when their publicly-funded protection was removed in 2020.<\/p>\n

During this period, the pair were living in Canada with their infant son, Prince Archie, whilst international borders were shutting rapidly in a bid to halt the advancing Covid<\/a> pandemic.<\/p>\n

Their whereabouts had been made public knowledge, making them feel like ‘sitting ducks’ – however, assistance arrived from an unexpected quarter.<\/p>\n

Entertainment mogul Tyler Perry kindly provided the Sussex household with his personal protection detail and offered his estate as temporary sanctuary.<\/p>\n

However, in his autobiography, Harry revealed that one of the primary reasons he had convinced Meghan their security would remain intact was due to the situation involving his controversy-plagued uncle, Andrew.<\/p>\n

The King’s disgraced younger sibling stepped back from official duties in 2019, following a disastrous Newsnight appearance regarding sexual assault claims brought against him by Virginia Giuffre, which he categorically refutes, and his association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

Despite being embroiled in controversy, he retained his police protection.<\/p>\n

In his memoir, he expressed his frustration with the situation, stating: “Despite being involved in an embarrassing scandal, accused of having sexually abused a young woman, nobody had suggested removing his security.<\/p>\n

“People may have a lot of grievances towards us, but sexual offences weren’t one of them.”<\/p>\n

It’s been reported that Andrew didn’t lose his police protection until 2022, even though the late Queen continued to cover his private security costs.<\/p>\n

The King initially kept this arrangement, before allegedly stopping funding it in 2024, in an attempt to persuade Andrew to leave Royal Lodge.<\/p>\n

Just last week, it was confirmed that Andrew will be leaving his residence at Royal Lodge, a 30-bedroom property on the Crown Estate, following scandals linked to his past associations with the late Epstein.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Charles is taking legal action to formally strip his brother of his Royal titles, despite the duke already announcing he would voluntarily relinquish them.<\/p>\n
