Police are investigating after a football fan was racially abused during a Birmingham<\/a> City Football Club match.<\/p>\n

Officers issued an image of a man they want to speak to after a ‘racist gesture’ was reportedly made towards a Charlton fan.<\/p>\n

It happened during the game at St Andrews at Knighthead Park on Saturday, February 15. Since the incident, police have been making enquiries and working with Birmingham City FC.<\/p>\n

And today, Sunday, April 27, the force shared a CCTV appeal of a man they want to identify. They urged anyone with information to contact them.<\/p>\n

The appeal read: “We want to speak to him after a visiting supporter was racially abused during a Birmingham City match.<\/p>\n

“A racist gesture was reportedly made towards a Charlton fan during the match at St. Andrews at Knighthead Park on Saturday, 15 February.<\/p>\n

“We have been carrying out enquiries and working closely with Birmingham City throughout our investigation, and we are now asking for your help in identifying the man pictured.<\/p>\n

“Anyone with information should contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101 quoting 20\/146604\/25.
