The Sussexes are reportedly \u2018desperate\u2019 to reconnect with the Waleses, according to a royal source. The two royal couples, who were last seen together at Queen Elizabeth\u2019s memorial in September 2022, are reportedly not on speaking terms.<\/p>\n
Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a> are hoping to \u2018trigger a truce\u2019, a royal source told The New York Times<\/a>. The insider said: \u201cMeghan\u2019s desperate to come across as the bigger person and end this feud between them \u2014 appearing like some sort of royal saviour could only do her image good.\u201d They added: \u201cTheir hope is that (Princess Kate<\/a>\u2019s return to work) might take some of the heat off them and possibly trigger a truce with her and William, and with the King, too.”<\/p>\n When Princess Kate came under the spotlight for editing a picture for her 2024 Mother\u2019s Day post, Harry allegedly asked Markle to \u2018reach out\u2019 to her.<\/p>\n An insider told OK! magazine<\/a>: \u201cHarry thinks it might be the perfect time for Meghan to reach out to Kate because she knows what it\u2019s like to come under fire from the public and the press.\u201d<\/p>\n They added: \u201cHarry wants his family to return to the UK, and he knows that the only way that will happen is if Meghan can repair her fractured relationship with Kate.\u201d<\/p>\n The Sussexes’ get-well-soon message to the Princess of Wales read: \u201cWe wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.\u201d<\/p>\n However, this reportedly backfired and left Prince William<\/a> \u2018furious\u2019.
