Collyhurst<\/a>, in the early hours of Monday (April 7).<\/p>\nThe 51-year-old’s family has been informed and is being supported by officers from Greater Manchester Police.<\/p>\n
In a tribute, they said: \u201cClare was a loving mother, auntie, sister and daughter. She was funny, outgoing and a very independent person. She was also kind, generous and friendly to anyone she met.<\/p>\n
\u201cClare would always light up the room she entered, and she was a brilliant friend to many.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will miss her dearly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Forensics investigators were seen combing the property for evidence earlier today (April 8). Detectives were seen carrying out door-to door enquiries.<\/p>\n
A bunch of flowers was left at the scene, with written tributes attached from Ms Burns’ loved ones. A teddy bear was also placed at the scene.<\/p>\n
A heartbreaking note on the flowers reads: “Rest in peace mum, we will miss you.” Another reads: “Rest in peace my darling daughter. Love you forever and always, love mum xxxxx”<\/p>\n

Other tributes described Ms Burns as ‘my friend always’ and ‘our kid’.<\/p>\n
Police arrested a 55-year-old man at the scene. Leonard Lee Stewart, of Queens Road, Manchester, has now been charged with murder and remains in police custody.<\/p>\n
He will appear at Manchester City Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (April 9).<\/p>\n
