Leeds United academy products Charlie Cresswell and Harry Gray are among those to react after Joe Gelhardt continued his prolific run of form. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Joe Gelhardt<\/a> is enjoying a brilliant season in the Championship, having left Elland Road<\/a> on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window. <\/p>\n

Two former Leeds teammates got on the scoresheet for the Tigers, as both Gelhardt and Darko Gyabi scored<\/a> in Hull\u2019s win over Norwich City. <\/p>\n

Gelhardt\u2019s goal means he is on a career-best scoring run, having found the net in the last four games for the Tigers, taking his personal goal tally to six for the season. <\/p>\n

Now, former Leeds defender Charlie Cresswell<\/a> and rising star Harry Gray<\/a> have sent messages to Gelhardt as his red-hot form continued.<\/p>\n

There is a strong ex-Leeds United connection in the Hull City line-up, with former Leeds defender Lewie Coyle captaining the side, alongside Gyabi and Gelhardt. <\/p>\n

Gelhardt referenced Coyle in his Instagram post to celebrate his goal, after the Hull captain playfully slapped the young forward on the face in exuberance, as Gelhardt said, \u201c3 points and a slap off skip \u2013 Lewie Coyle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having previously declared that Gelhardt is enjoying a Ballon d\u2019Or season<\/a>, Gray continued his comparisons with some of football\u2019s all-time greats, responding with a GIF of Lionel Messi showing off one of his Ballon d\u2019Or trophies. <\/p>\n

Gelhardt\u2019s former Leeds teammate Charlie Cresswell also responded to the post, following links suggesting the defender could return to the Premier League<\/a>. Cresswell said: \u201cThat is my guy!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Former Leeds man Sam Greenwood<\/a>, who is currently enjoying life in Poland, also sent a two-word message to Gelhardt, as he said: \u201cGit upp\u201d with a heart emoji. <\/p>\n

Having watched their side struggle in attack in the defeat against Brighton<\/a>, a section of the Leeds fanbase will be disappointed to learn that there is no provision for Leeds to recall Gelhardt<\/a> from his loan deal.<\/p>\n

However, having found his feet in East Yorkshire, Gelhardt may be reluctant to leave even if Leeds could recall him, with the Tigers sitting just outside the top six. <\/p>\n

Speaking to Hull City\u2019s club media after the game, Gelhardt praised his side\u2019s current form, as they have put together a run of three wins from four games. Gelhardt said: \u201cThe lads are in good form, you know, I think, what\u2019s that now, three out of the last four wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first half wasn\u2019t great for us. I think we were under pressure, but good teams stay in the game, and that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019ve done. <\/p>\n
