The\u00a0main man and his troupe of elves will be roaming the carriages of the 1940s locomotive as it chugs around south London, providing festive entertainment, handing out traditional gifts and generally spreading Christmas cheer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for the steam train tend to be very popular, so we recommend booking early if you want to join Santa and friends. Here are all the details you need.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECOMMENDED: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/kids\/activities\/santas-grottos-in-london\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">All the best places to meet Father Christmas in London for 2025<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When does the Santa Steam Express return?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The train will be running for multiple 90-minute trips on <strong>Saturday, December 20<\/strong> and <strong>Monday, December 22<\/strong>.\u00a0Journeys\u00a0are scheduled to run at\u00a09.15am, 11.45am, 3.15pm and 5.15pm on each day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s included in the tickets?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Each child on board gets a gift from\u00a0St Nick and his elves, as well as an activity sheet, a snack and a drink for the journey. For the adults, there\u2019ll be tea or coffee and a mince pie.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>How much does\u00a0the Santa Steam Express\u00a0cost?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are three types of tickets to choose from. Coach class starts at \u00a355 (recommended for parties of four or eight) and club class starts at \u00a375 (apparently best suited for groups of two to six). You could also book a private compartment for up to six people from \u00a3600.
