A twisted paedophile<\/a> has been found guilty of abusing children at a Scots residential care home.<\/p>\n

Alexander Boyd<\/a>, 56, carried out serious sexual offences against children who were within his care at a residential home in Oban between 1998-1999.<\/p>\n

Boyd carried out a series of rapes<\/a>, attempted rapes and sexual assaults.<\/p>\n

He was found guilty of four charges at the High Court in Glasgow<\/a> today, November 3, and is due to be sentenced at the same court on Tuesday, December 9. The offences<\/a> involved two girls in his care and his offending came to light when witnesses came forward and reported him to the police. Detective Inspector Peter MacMillan said: “Boyd abused his position of trust to carry out horrific offending against vulnerable children. “He was being paid to look after these children and instead took advantage and committed crimes at a place where they should have been safe.<\/p>\n
