As avid LEGO fans young and old know only too well, some of the most coveted sets of the famous bricks come with a hefty price tag to match these days.<\/p>\n

But there’s one LEGO shop in Greater Manchester that not many people will know about, where there are some massive money-off deals to be had.<\/p>\n

The shop boasts some of the most sought-after sets like the new Star Wars Millennium Falcon, the huge LEGO Icons Titanic and Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley with up to \u00a370 off the RRP price at official LEGO stores.<\/p>\n

And that’s that you need to be heading on your holidays to get access to these bargains.<\/p>\n

For the bargainous LEGO shop in question is inside Manchester Airport<\/a> and only accessible to those travelling for flights.<\/p>\n

The official LEGO shop has only been open since the Summer, taking over a unit in the newest section of the massive new Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s one of six new shops and eateries in a new section of the Terminal, joining Rituals, Pandora, Starbucks, Joe & The Juice<\/a> and Upper Crust.<\/p>\n

The store features a range of sets that kids will love, from tiny travel-friendly options to take on holiday to bigger kits that would make excellent presents, especially with the prospect of up to \u00a373 off the recommended retail prices on the official LEGO online store.<\/p>\n

When we headed into the shop last week, offers included the LEGO Titanic model for \u00a3530.99, a saving of \u00a359 from the RRP of \u00a3589.99 and a massive \u00a373.50 off the LEGO Millennium Falcon model at an exclusive Airport price of \u00a3661.49 instead of \u00a3734.99.<\/p>\n

Other savings were on the NASA Artemis Space Launch Station for \u00a3197.99, saving \u00a322 on the RRP and The Lord of the Rings: The Shire model for \u00a3206.99, a saving of \u00a323 on the RRP, \u00a321 off the LEGO Land Rover Defender model for \u00a3188.99 (instead of \u00a3209.99) and Harry Potter Diagon Alley for \u00a3152.99 instead of the RRP of \u00a3169.99.<\/p>\n

And if you’re thinking “But how on Earth could I fit the LEGO Titanic box in my hand luggage”, then the shop has even got the solution to that conundrum too.<\/p>\n

For if you’re flying back into Terminal 2, the staff at the LEGO store can arrange to MEET you at arrivals with your shopping to save you carrying it on your holidays and back.<\/p>\n

The store features a host of other Manchester exclusives too, with a special LEGO model of a trophy-winning footballer with a Manchester Airport top on, while there’s also a LEGO mural of some of Manchester’s most famous landmarks as you walk in.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a section where kids can build their own mini-figures, as well as displays of some of the fully built sets for shoppers to gaze in awe at.<\/p>\n

The opening of the new LEGO store along with five other new shops marked the latest milestone in the 10-year, \u00a31.3bn transformation of Terminal 2 which has seen it more than double in size.<\/p>\n

An extension to the terminal opened in 2021, and the airport is now in the final stages of overhauling the original Terminal 2 building to bring it up to the same standard as the extension, mirroring the modern look and feel.<\/p>\n

More than 70 per cent of the airport\u2019s passengers will use the new facilities and Terminal 1 is set to close when the project is completed later this year.<\/p>\n

Further shops and restaurants are expected to open later this year<\/a> \u2013 including Chanel, Grindsmith by WH Smith, a Fever Tree cocktail and champagne bar, and the Great Northern Market \u2013 a food court with a selection of street food options.<\/p>\n

The finalised terminal will also include 13 new flexible aircraft stands and boarding gates, currently under construction, and a passageway linking the new security hall with the departure lounge.<\/p>\n
