A groundbreaking ceremony ahead of it construction will take place on Wednesday, November 5.<\/p>\n
The massive structure is due to be completed by 2028.<\/p>\n

“I am delighted we are creating a monument that will share a million stories of hope and that people will be able to discover Jesus, who listens to and answers prayer,” said ex-Leicester City FC chaplain Richard Gamble, who is the brainchild of the project.<\/p>\n
“This is the moment to build a landmark of hope. A lasting testimony to the power of prayer, preserving the Christian heritage in our nation.”<\/p>\n
It is being built on land donated by Midlands businessman Lord Edmiston, via his firm IM Properties.<\/p>\n
Lord Edmiston said: “It is a testament to present and future generations of the creator of the universe who has answered numerous prayers over centuries past and still is answering them today.”<\/p>\n
A further \u00a35.7m will still be needed for it to be operational and meet landscaping costs.<\/p>\n
