href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/amazon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Amazon;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Amazon<\/a> were being launched into service on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Amazon said it would eventually have 160 eHGVs, the largest number of electric trucks in its global transportation network.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">The vehicles will transport products between Amazon logistics hubs across the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">The company is also adding 800 new electric vans across the UK and extending pedestrian deliveries to London\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/borough\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Borough;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Borough<\/a> of Camden.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Nicola Fyfe, of Amazon Logistics, said: \u201cThe first vehicles from our record-breaking eHGV order are now on Britain\u2019s roads, transporting products between our hubs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">\u201cThis marks a major milestone in our journey to decarbonise our UK transportation network.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">\u201cThese trucks, alongside more electric vans and on-foot deliveries, are a win for our customers, the environment, and our
