The books follow a mischievous young girl who lives on the \u2018tippy-top floor\u2019 of New York City\u2019s iconic Plaza Hotel. Newcomer Mae Schenk will take on the role of Eloise, who spars with Reynolds\u2019 character.<\/p>\n
Rather than a direct adaptation, this is said to be a \u201cwholly original adventure\u201d based on the book series. Specifics of the plot are under wraps.<\/p>\n
\u201cGilmore Girls\u201d creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is directing and writing the feature with Hannah Marks and Linda Woolverton co-writing the screenplay.<\/p>\n
Hannah Minghella, Netflix\u2019s head of feature animation and family film, says:<\/p>\n

Eloise has been the subject of TV movies and an animated TV series. Various attempts were made in the mid-late 2000s to adapt to film without success.<\/p>\n
