It’s going to be a big one for sneakerheads\"AA vintage pop-up is coming to a massive Manchester charity shop for six weeks(Image: Fiona Finchett \/ Oxfam)<\/p>\n

A special pop-up selling retro trainers will be opening inside a Manchester charity shop<\/a> – and it\u2019ll be launching with a special appearance from an iconic local musician.<\/p>\n

The Oxfam Manchester Superstore, located in the Manchester Fort Shopping Park in Cheetham Hill<\/a>, will be unveiling the curated pop-up shop on Saturday (November 8).<\/p>\n

Running for six weeks, the fashion<\/a> pop-up will feature a big range of second-hand trainers, with iconic vintage styles from brands including Adidas, New Balance, Nike and Puma.<\/p>\n

The collaboration pop-up will be between the family-run business Vintage Trainers, who sell a wide range of refurbished and pre-owned sneakers from their base in Hampshire, as well as online.<\/p>\n

The Vintage Trainers pop-up, which will run at the Manchester charity shop until December 21, will also be accompanied by a series of workshops, offering tips on everything from trainer customisation to care and repair sessions.<\/p>\n

\u201cPartnering with Oxfam is a fantastic opportunity to share our passion for vintage footwear with a wider audience,\u201d Mat Shaul, Co-Founder of Vintage Trainers, said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe second-hand trainers are more than just fashion \u2013 they carry stories and character, and we can\u2019t wait for shoppers in Manchester to discover them. As a family-run business, we share Oxfam\u2019s values of sustainability and community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pop-up will get underway with a special invite-only, launch party on Friday night (November 7), which will feature a special DJ set from Manchester music legend Clint Boon, who rose to fame as the keyboard player of Inspiral Carpets.<\/p>\n

The major charity shop, which spans 10,000 sq ft, opened last year<\/a> and features two floors of fashion, books, music and homewares. It also has its own community space and caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n
