If you\u2019re already tired of reading about the impact of AI on both the games industry and the world at large, strap yourself in for more of the same. We\u2019re on the precipice right now.<\/p>\n

EA is one company already all-in on the technology, with Business Insider<\/a> recently reporting on how management from the Californian company<\/a> has been pushing it on employees<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now new messaging from the firm following its proposed acquisition involving a Saudi-led investment consortium<\/a> has given us fresh perspective on how the firm intends to implement the tech.<\/p>\n

In an FAQ<\/a> shared by the US Securities and Exchange Commission<\/a>, the company insisted it will maintain a \u201cthoughtful, steady approach to AI\u201d.<\/p>\n

It added:<\/p>\n

\u201cAI is a tool to empower our people to put creativity first by reimagining workflows and amplifying the creative power of our teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It\u2019s perhaps worth noting at this point that little of the reporting around EA\u2019s use of AI refers to generative AI. It\u2019s more being used to streamline coding duties or compile reports, although the tech is still unreliable enough that a lot of this needs to be checked by humans.<\/p>\n

Obviously, there are legitimate use cases here where AI can speed up certain tasks and improve efficiency.<\/p>\n

But we know how the corporate world works, and in the ever-present pursuit of profits, it seems inevitable that a lot of jobs are going to end up being replaced here.<\/p>\n

EA\u2019s messaging seems to believe that in expediting certain processes, it\u2019ll allow its teams to focus more on creativity and innovation.<\/p>\n

Forgive for feeling extremely cynical about it all.<\/p>\n
