Slash minimum wage for young people and bring back austerity<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She said austerity policies under previous governments were a \u201chammer blow\u201d to the UK\u2019s economy and \u201cgutted\u201d the country\u2019s public services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe years that followed were characterised by instability and indecision,\u201d she continued, before hitting out at the \u201crushed and ill-conceived Brexit\u201d delivered under the Tories. However, she believes those kind of choices \u201care the reason we have such low productivity today\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Labour\u2019s election manifesto read: \u201cWe will ensure taxes on working people are kept as low as possible.
