{"id":54966,"date":"2025-04-27T14:31:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T14:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/54966\/"},"modified":"2025-04-27T14:31:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T14:31:08","slug":"rochester-employment-and-labor-force-reach-record-highs-in-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/54966\/","title":{"rendered":"Rochester Employment and Labor Force Reach Record Highs in March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rochester, MN (<a href=\"https:\/\/krocnews.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KROC-AM News<\/a>) &#8211; Employment and labor force levels hit new all-time highs in the<a href=\"https:\/\/krocnews.com\/tags\/rochester\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Rochester<\/a> area last month.<\/p>\n<p>The latest jobs statistics from the <a href=\"https:\/\/krocnews.com\/tags\/mn-deed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development <\/a>show overall employment in <a href=\"https:\/\/krocnews.com\/tags\/olmsted-county\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Olmsted County<\/a> exceeded 92,400 in March. That was about 180 above the employment number reported in February and is up by more than 3700 when compared to March of last year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/KROCAM.png\" alt=\"KROC-AM logo\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The size of the local labor force has grown by similar amounts. The jobs report put it at over 95,200 in March. It was just under 91,000 a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/krocnews.com\/tags\/unemployment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unemployment rate <\/a>for the Rochester area was steady last month at 3%. It remained the highest jobless rate reported in Olmsted County since August 2021. In March of last year, the local <a href=\"https:\/\/krocnews.com\/tags\/jobless-rate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jobless rate <\/a>was 2.4%<\/p>\n<p>Regionwide, unemployment rates were steady or slightly lower. Olmsted County continued to have the lowest rate in <a href=\"https:\/\/krocnews.com\/tags\/southeastern-minnesota\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">southeastern Minnesota<\/a>.
