\n West Yorkshire Police\u2019s Leeds North West team say they have been made aware of the reports near Yeadon Cemetery.\n<\/p>\n
\n They say they are “taking firm action to ensure the area remains safe and respectful for everyone”.\n<\/p>\n
Defecation in cemetery grounds<\/p>\n
\n Key issues reported to the police include groups of vehicles waiting for long periods at the Yeadon Cemetery Viewing Area and intimidating behaviour towards passers-by.\n<\/p>\n
\n There have also been reports of public urination and defecation in cemetery grounds as well as littering in and around the viewing area.\n<\/p>\n
\n The viewing area is a popular spot for families to watch flights in and out of Leeds Bradford Airport.\n<\/p>\n
‘Zero tolerance approach’<\/p>\n
\n The force has said there will be \u201cincreased patrols with a zero tolerance approach\u201d as well as work to cut back overgrown vegetation to improve visibility.\n<\/p>\n
\n It added they are \u201cworking with Leeds City Council on longer-term solutions and continuing engagement work with local residents.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
