Here, Chino Moreno and co. debuted more songs from their\u00a010th and latest studio album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/deftones-private-music-album-review-3885520\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Private Music\u2019<\/a>, and played<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/features\/deftones-white-pony-20-year-anniversary-interview-chvrches-fever-333-chino-radiohead-2692262\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u2018White Pony\u2019<\/a> deep cut \u2018Street Carp\u2019 live for the first time since 2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/deftones-announce-2026-uk-and-european-tour-3877589\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deftones will head out on a UK and European headline tour early next year<\/a>. The forthcoming run of dates features a show at The O2 in London, as well as stops in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and Cardiff. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketmaster.co.uk\/deftones-tickets\/artist\/777416?irgwc=1&amp;afsrc=1&amp;utm_source=2862475-NME%20Networks%20Media%20Limited&amp;utm_medium=affiliate&amp;utm_campaign=2862475&amp;awtrc=&amp;clickId=xOnTBHWu7xyKRF4SKGSfxVZQUkpUGaXazXxF0U0&amp;camefrom=CFC_BUYAT_2862475&amp;ircid=7559\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find any remaining tickets here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/system-of-a-down-korn-deftones-and-bring-me-the-horizon-lead-stacked-sick-new-world-2026-line-ups-buy-tickets-3900994\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The group are also set to perform at the inaugural Texas edition of US festival Sick New World next year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This summer,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/deftones-tease-new-music-and-play-career-spanning-crystal-palace-park-show-the-day-they-dropped-out-of-glastonbury-2025-3875110\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deftones played a huge career-spanning gig at London\u2019s Crystal Palace Park<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 just one day after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/glastonbury-2025-deftones-pull-out-of-other-stage-performance-skepta-to-step-in-3873855\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pulling out of their Other Stage slot at Glastonbury 2025<\/a>\u00a0at the last minute.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/deftones-private-music-album-review-3885520\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a glowing five-star review of \u2018Private Music\u2019<\/a>, NME wrote: \u201cRather than just hang off the legacy of the immaculate classics \u2018Around The Fur\u2019 and\u00a0\u2018White Pony\u2019, the Sacramento art-metallers have spent the 21st Century boshing out banger after banger as arguably the most reliable band in rock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It added: \u201c\u2018Private Music\u2019 once again finds the band as masters of beauty and brutality rolling over the horizon in one stunning but powerful storm. Batten down those hatches, throw up those horns, and lean in close.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In other news, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/deftones-chino-moreno-on-around-the-fur-its-one-of-my-favourites-if-not-my-favourite-record-of-ours-3902968\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moreno recently looked back on\u00a0Deftones\u2019 1997 second album, \u2018Around The Fur\u2019, saying it is possibly his \u201cfavourite record\u201d from the band<\/a>. \u201cThat record definitely stood the test of time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/features\/music-interviews\/deftones-chino-moreno-private-music-interview-3887425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">During an interview with\u00a0NME\u00a0this summer<\/a>, the frontman spoke about how Deftones\u2019 music had always been vulnerable, pointing back to \u2018Mascara\u2019 on \u2018Around The Fur\u2019 as proof. The frontman also admitted that his confidence to lay himself out in a love song had grown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I\u2019m no expert in mental health, but speaking for myself, doing therapy and sobriety as well \u2013 which has been a big thing for me to achieve in these last few years \u2013 obviously it was kind of scary in the beginning,\u201d he told us. \u201cThen once you break that wall down and realise, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m probably more creative than I\u2019ve been in the past and a little bit more in tune with what\u2019s going on, with my emotions\u2019. Now I think it\u2019s easier. I used to believe that maybe I had to be in an altered state of mind to have this creative thing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, having a bit of clarity and still being able to be creative \u2013 it feels more pristine.
