October was one of the busiest months of 2025 in terms of release schedule, picking up where an already hectic September had left off.<\/p>\n

Things got crazy right from the word go thanks to a little PS5 exclusive called Ghost of Yotei<\/a>. Sucker Punch’s highly anticipated sequel was met with impressive review scores and much positivity, and, if we’re being totally honest, we’ll be shocked if it doesn’t rack up a huge number of votes in this Game of the Month poll.<\/p>\n

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Ninja Gaiden 4<\/a> has gone down as a bit of a banger amongst action fans (if it wins October’s award, it’ll actually be the third Ninja Gaiden game to do so in 2025), while Battlefield 6<\/a> marked a blistering return to form for the shooter series.<\/p>\n

And speaking of online escapades, ARC Raiders<\/a> has gone down a treat as well. If you’re a fan of teaming up with friends \u2014 or total strangers \u2014 in search of competitive glory, then October’s proven to be a pretty healthy period.<\/p>\n

The likes of superbly worked roguelike Ball X Pit<\/a>, the addictively mundane PowerWash Simulator 2<\/a>, and lovingly dumb Once Upon Katamari<\/a> all brought something different to the month as well.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, RPG enthusiasts could gorge on The Outer Worlds 2<\/a> \u2014 a meaty choice-driven adventure \u2014 and the nostalgic revival that is Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake<\/a>. What’s more, Digimon Story Time Stranger<\/a> offered up some relatively top monster taming.<\/p>\n
