{"id":551871,"date":"2025-11-06T01:30:38","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T01:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/551871\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T01:30:38","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T01:30:38","slug":"the-ultimate-designer-sale-raising-money-to-change-a-girls-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/551871\/","title":{"rendered":"The ultimate designer sale raising money to change a girl&#8217;s life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A designer sale hosted by beauty entrepreneur Trinny Woodall has raised money for a charity supporting women facing hardship. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Funds from the event, which happened from 10-11 October, will contribute to a campaign from the charity King\u2019s Trust, called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingstrust.org.uk\/support-our-work\/change-a-girls-life\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Change a Girl\u2019s Life<\/a>, which works to support the future of young women feeling discouraged about their futures.<\/p>\n<p>Selling more than just pre-loved clothing, brands such as Burberry, LVMH Company and Jimmy Choo all donated some of their wares.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shannon Hay, 29, the project manager for the event, told the Londoners: \u201cWe have had such an incredible committee of women coming together all wanting to raise as much money as possible to change girl\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_1832-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-160495\" style=\"width:635px;height:auto\"  \/>Lots of sparkle and glitter for sale to help girls shine! Credit: Madigan Gallagher<\/p>\n<p>Claire Burrows, founder of the brand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/airandgrace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Air &amp; Grace<\/a>, working alongside King\u2019s Trust for this event said: \u201cThe gala was an incredible evening \u2013 hearing first-hand from the women whose lives have been changed by the Trust was so moving, and such a powerful reminder of why the Change a Girl\u2019s Life campaign matters.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s proof of just how strong we are when women support women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Woodall contributed over 400 items of her own clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories which people \u2018flocked\u2019 to.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lorna Ive, a fashion stylist and professional make-up artist, who uses the Instagram handle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bylornaive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@bylornaive<\/a>, said: \u201cIt was like Harrod\u2019s sale day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody went straight to Trinny\u2019s wardrobe!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI barrelled my way through and made out with a pair of MUI MUI shoes which I am quite happy about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_1827-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-160496\" style=\"width:539px;height:auto\"  \/>Trinny\u2019s fabulous wardrobe for sale. Credit: Madigan Gallagher<\/p>\n<p>This was Ive\u2019s first time hearing about the charity campaign and was inspired to participate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When asked about her experience, she said: \u201cIt felt empowering to be a part of women in support of one another.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomething that women all love is fashion, and coming together to create funds to help women succeed in life, it felt good to know you were making a change for other women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/finderskeepersclub.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Finders Keepers Club<\/a> partnered up with the King\u2019s Trust for this event which works to promote sustainability and minimise waste.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Founder, Katy Christie-Miller, said: \u201cWe, at Finders Keepers Club, love to support charities and give back.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFashion is our area of expertise and we have come to advise, help set up, and it\u2019s just a joy to come and do what we do as volunteers in an environment surrounded by things that we love and are passionate about.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis event in particular has just been a joy. It takes an army to build something like this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After weeks of working for one goal, Christie-Miller said: \u201cThe tills are singing and we are very happy!\u201d <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_1829-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-160501\" style=\"width:747px;height:auto\"  \/>Walls lined with racks of beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories!
