Andrey Rublev has now reflected on his 2025 season after it came to an end at the Paris Masters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rublev was beaten by Ben Shelton<\/a> in Paris, and he has not entered any more tournaments this year.<\/p>\n

It has been a mixed season for the Russian, despite Rublev winning the Qatar Open<\/a> back in February.<\/p>\n

However, he has not won another title since then, meaning that Rublev has failed to do something for the first time in six years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When looking back on his season, Rublev<\/a> has mentioned something that happened at Wimbledon<\/a> which he has never experienced before.<\/p>\n

Rublev has recently admitted he felt burnt out<\/a>, and there is often a lot of attention on the world number 16 following recent on-court outbursts.<\/p>\n

When speaking to Tennis Bolshoi about how he rates his season, Rublev admitted that he has not been so happy with his tennis, but is overall pleased with the improvements in how stable he is feeling.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe results\u2026Obviously like any athlete, you want to show high results and reach the final stages,\u201d said Rublev. \u201cSo in terms of the results, this season wasn\u2019t as good as the previous ones. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo if we rate it by results, it wasn\u2019t all that good. If we talk about my condition, it\u2019s much better than in all the previous years. So overall, I rate this year positively\u2026It\u2019s the most stable I have ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rublev fell to his lowest ranking in five years back in May, and shortly after making these comments he was asked if he has ever felt like a top player this year.<\/p>\n

Despite making an honest admission about his form, Rublev suggested that he felt it at Wimbledon<\/a> and spoke about how he had never practiced so well prior to the tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt it at Wimbledon\u2026Yeah, it was there for the whole tournament,\u201d answered Rublev. \u201cWhen I arrived in London for the first practice week, I started realising d*** my level is great right now, I\u2019m practicing great. I\u2019ve never seen that level from myself in practice before. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was just hoping that at least some of it would carry into matches. And in the end, yeah, I played pretty well\u2026Well, I pretty confidently beat the guys in the earlier rounds and played a decent match against Alcaraz. Considering everything that happened and the results before, for me it was a positive week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrey Rublev names the match he would want to play again from the 2025 season<\/p>\n

Although Rublev has not won another title since the Qatar Open<\/a>, he did reach another final at the Hamburg Open.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old was also asked if there was a match he would like to play again from the year, and after much deliberation, Rublev chose the final he lost in Hamburg to Flavio Cobolli<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet it be the Hamburg final,\u201d said Rublev. \u201cThere I clearly was\u2026I broke down. Basically lost it myself. I really broke down in that final, so let it be this match. All other tournaments, I either lacked the level or something else, and in Hamburg it was just about me losing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rublev has been working with coach Marat Safin<\/a> since April, and there has been a noticeable improvement in his on-court mentality since then.<\/p>\n
