The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be “desperate” to reconnect<\/a> with Prince William<\/a> and Kate as the rift rages on following months of no contact.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry<\/a> and William were last seen together at Queen Elizabeth’s memorial<\/a> in September 2022, alongside their wives, Meghan Markle<\/a> and Kate, who are thought to have their own separate reasons for not speaking.<\/p>\n

Now, an insider has claimed that the pair are hoping to “trigger a truce” as Harry attempts to rebuild relationships with his family members. Speaking to The New York Times<\/a>, they claimed: “Meghan\u2019s desperate to come across as the bigger person and end this feud between them – appearing like some sort of royal saviour could only do her image good.”<\/p>\n

They added: “Their hope is that (Princess Kate<\/a>\u2019s return to work) might take some of the heat off them and possibly trigger a truce with her and William, and with the King, too.”<\/p>\n

When Kate came under heat for editing a picture for her 2024 Mother\u2019s Day post, Harry allegedly asked Meghan to “reach out” to her at the time. An insider told OK! Magazine<\/a>: “Harry thinks it might be the perfect time for Meghan to reach out to Kate because she knows what it\u2019s like to come under fire from the public and the press.”<\/p>\n

They added: “Harry wants his family to return to the UK, and he knows that the only way that will happen is if Meghan can repair her fractured relationship with Kate.”<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex<\/a> returned to the UK for a brief visit earlier this month while he attended a court hearing over security.<\/p>\n

During this time, there was speculation that Harry might reunite with his father, King Charles<\/a>. However, despite knowing of the court hearing months in advance, Charles had other plans and was unable to meet with his youngest son.<\/p>\n

It’s thought that Harry has tried multiple times to contact his family, with an insider claiming he has tried “phoning and messaging” both Charles and William on multiple occasions, failing to hear back.<\/p>\n

The Duke is so distant from his family that he reportedly found out the latest news regarding his father’s cancer journey through online news articles. Harry flew to the UK shortly after Charles announced he was undergoing treatment for a fleeting 15-minute visit with his father.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Meghan and Kate have faced their own fractured relationship after the Duchess of Sussex made several claims about disagreements the pair had allegedly had.<\/p>\n

The pair were said to clash over arrangements for Meghan’s wedding, with Kate “insisting” that Princess Charlotte stick to royal protocols while attending the ceremony. Meghan even claimed their argument caused her to cry during their bombshell Oprah interview in recent years.<\/p>\n
