Capital&Centric has submitted plans for a new 192-home neighbourhood close to Sheffield city centre.<\/p>\n
After consultation with the local community, the scheme, \u2018Fitzwilliam\u2019, will also include communal lounges, a courtyard and a rooftop terrace, and has now been submitted to Sheffield City Council.<\/p>\n
The new site is directly across from Capital&Centric\u2019s Eyewitness Works, which was the location for Channel 4\u2019s Big Interiors Battle, where the developer restored two Grade II listed buildings.<\/p>\n
Tom Wilmot, joint managing director at Capital&Centric, said:<\/strong> <\/strong>\u201cFitzwilliam isn\u2019t another bland block of apartments. What we\u2019re creating here is a community where people actually want to spend time; that means homes that feel like home, shared spaces to make new friends, and proper greenery to unwind in. Eyewitness already has a great buzz and Fitzwilliam is really going to add to that energy. It\u2019s been great to chat with people about what we\u2019ve got in store, and we can\u2019t wait to make it a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n Capital&Centric will also open up the streets around Fitzwilliam, creating a pedestrian route through to Eyewitness. Neighbouring Thomas Street will see new trees, benches and local artwork added, while Fitzwilliam, Milton, and Egerton streets will all get more greenery and better lighting.<\/p>\n The homes at Fitzwilliam will feature Scandi-designed HAY furniture and will be run by Ollo, Capital&Centric\u2019s in-house rental team. Ollo was introduced in December 2024 to manage the developer\u2019s portfolio of rental properties. Capital&Centric says that its property management arm aims to raise the bar for rentals, providing high-quality appliances and offering a variety of services to residents, from cleaning to pet sitting.<\/p>\n Co-founded by Tim Heatley and Adam Higgins, Capital&Centric has a pipeline of regeneration projects featuring over 6,000 homes and totalling nearly \u00a32billion.
