over five hours after <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/sport\/3051287\/london-marathon-2025-date-start-time-route-map-live-stream-tv-channel\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">competing alongside thousands of fellow runners<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Terry appeared to be bleeding from his nipple during the London Marathon\" height=\"613\" width=\"960\" retiring in 2018 after an illustrious playing career.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently working with Chelsea&#8217;s academy after spells as Dean Smith&#8217;s assistant at <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/sport\/football\/team\/113007\/aston-villa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aston Villa<\/a> and Leicester.<\/p>\n<p>Terry was spotted on TV during the race as he ran alongside his former team-mate Jody Morris.<\/p>\n<p>The pair made 47 appearances together during their time at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>After making a fast start to the race, Terry was forced to walk halfway through.<\/p>\n<p>He could be seen limping, whilst he also appeared to be bleeding from his nipple.<\/p>\n<p>A red splodge was visible on his white t-shirt as TV cameras once again filmed him and Morris.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the former midfielder was spotted waiting for Terry as his pace deteriorated.<\/p>\n<p>The 44-year-old took 55 minutes to pass between the 35km and 40km marks.<\/p>\n<p>He was applauded by the crowd, though, as he passed the finish line in a time of 5:00:43.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Terry ran alongside ex-Chelsea team-mate children&#8217;s charity as well as The John Terry Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The ex-England captain was one of several former <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/topic\/premier-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Premier League<\/a> footballers to compete in the race.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/who\/jack-wilshere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jack Wilshere<\/a>, who is the current Norwich interim manager, was amongst the field of runners.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Sidwell and Danny Mills also made their way around the course on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Former Italy defender <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/who\/leonardo-bonucci\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leonardo Bonucci<\/a> even joined Terry at the start line before taking part.<\/p>\n<p>The pair embraced ahead of the race in a clip shared to the ex-Juventus man&#8217;s social media.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH the kindest moment in London Marathon history <\/p>\n<p>In a post on his Instagram story, he wrote: &#8220;Great to see you legend.
