After dominating the box office earlier this year, Final Destination Bloodlines helmers\u00a0Zach Lipovsky\u00a0<\/strong>& Adam Stein <\/strong>are having one hell of a year.<\/p>\n

Not only are the filmmaking duo attached to write Gremlins 3<\/a>, they\u2019re in talks to direct Long Last <\/strong>for Universal and Amblin.<\/p>\n

Long Last is based on the 50-page short story by Colin Bannon<\/strong>, THR<\/a> reports, who also wrote the script.<\/p>\n

Bannon\u2019s short tells of \u201d\u00a0a recently married woman whose life is upended when her husband\u2019s long-lost wife shockingly returns after she was believed to be dead, sparking fears that she\u2019s hatching a sinister plan to reclaim what was once hers.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more intriguing is that the project is being described as What Lies Beneath<\/a> meets Rosemary\u2019s Baby<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even more curious is that Universal landed the project in a bidding war last year, with producers including Amblin\u2019s Steven Spielberg<\/strong>, Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon<\/strong>, and Scott Glassgold<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s clear that the smash success of Bloodlines has instantly transformed Lipovsky and Stein into an in-demand duo. In September, the pair were also attached to The Earthling<\/a>, based on a short story by Jonathan Marty.<\/strong><\/p>\n
