{"id":554427,"date":"2025-11-07T05:09:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T05:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/554427\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T05:09:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T05:09:13","slug":"jurgen-klopp-could-still-have-a-say-at-leeds-united-amid-brendan-rodgers-links","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/554427\/","title":{"rendered":"Jurgen Klopp could still have a say at Leeds United amid Brendan Rodgers links"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Leeds United will not be hiring Jurgen Klopp.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whispers of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/news\/graham-smyth-shares-verdict-as-bizarre-leeds-links-to-jurgen-klopp-emerge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Klopp managing Leeds<\/a> have been brutally shut down by Graham Smyth after an initial story from TEAMtalk bizarrely suggested it was possible \u2013 despite the German already insisting he will never manage another club in England besides Liverpool.<\/p>\n<p>Klopp could, however, still have a say in matters at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/club\/stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elland Road<\/a> given his position as Red Bull\u2019s Head of Global Soccer and his connections to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/tag\/brendan-rodgers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brendan Rodgers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jurgen Klopp could endorse Brendan Rodgers to Leeds United<\/p>\n<p>This is nothing more than our pure opinion, but if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leeds<\/a> opt to dismiss <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/club\/manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel Farke<\/a>, the Northern Irishman cannot be ruled out as a possible hire for several reasons.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/opinion\/daniel-farke-beware-as-celtic-sack-brendan-rodgers-two-years-after-leeds-united-approach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">49ers approached Rodgers<\/a> in 2023 after suffering relegation under Sam Allardyce \u2013 showing they already admired his managerial ability.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, while Klopp will not manage Leeds himself, he is Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull and may potentially put in a good word, given his relationship with the 52-year-old.<\/p>\n<p>Rodgers was even Klopp\u2019s landlord after renting his old house in Liverpool to the German, and has often praised him in the media.<\/p>\n<p>Upon replacing him at Anfield, he said: \u201cBrendan did a really good job here\u2026 so we don\u2019t have to show them how football works\u2026 there\u2019s a good base here because of Brendan\u2019s work. I am not sure and I don\u2019t believe the Leeds hierarchy think that. Are they really underachieving?
