More than ten members from the university and Square Enix are working towards the goal to &#8220;automate 70% of QA and debugging tasks in game development by the end of 2027&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>By embracing generative AI, Square Enix thinks it will &#8220;improve the efficiency of QA operations and establish a competitive advantage in game development&#8221;. The knock-on effect is, of course, redundancies for those working in the field.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"Square Enix AI 2\" href=\"https:\/\/images.pushsquare.com\/c6fc75af1c1af\/square-enix-ai-2.large.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/square-enix-ai-2.900x.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"494\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Square Enix AI 2\"\/><\/a> Image: Square Enix<\/p>\n<p>Square Enix isn&#8217;t the first developer to confirm plans to include AI usage during game development, and it won&#8217;t be the last either.
