{"id":554580,"date":"2025-11-07T06:50:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T06:50:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/554580\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T06:50:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T06:50:14","slug":"israel-showcases-tourism-revival-at-londons-wtm-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/554580\/","title":{"rendered":"Israel showcases tourism revival at London\u2019s WTM fair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8216;The right time to act to restore tourism to Israel and to present the beauty of our wonderful country.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Israel is moving to revive its tourism industry with a ceasefire in place, travel advisories lifted, and flights from the United Kingdom resuming. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/consumerism\/article-865522\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The Ministry of Tourism;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The Ministry of Tourism<\/a> this week is taking part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/international\/article-772460\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:World Travel Market;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">World Travel Market<\/a> (WTM), the world\u2019s largest international tourism fair, held in London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tourism Ministry Director-General Michael Izhakov inaugurated Israel\u2019s national pavilion on Monday alongside Deputy and Acting Ambassador Daniela Grodzki. Minister of Tourism Haim Katz said the event marks \u201cthe right time to act to restore tourism to Israel and to present the beauty of our wonderful country.\u201d Returning visitors, he added, \u201cwill serve as ambassadors of a positive message and will help Israel\u2019s economic and image recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">During his visit, Izhakov is meeting senior leaders of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-872213\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Britain\u2019s Jewish community;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Britain\u2019s Jewish community<\/a> and giving interviews to leading Jewish media outlets, aiming to encourage travel to Israel now that flights have resumed. He said the ministry is prepared to expand outreach to potential visitors in the UK market following the easing of restrictions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In September 2025, roughly 8,800 travelers arrived from Britain, bringing the total to more than 75,000 since the start of the year, a 10 percent rise over 2024. Most were Jewish tourists, a group that continued visiting during the conflict as a gesture of solidarity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The ministry plans to strengthen cooperation with Jewish and Evangelical communities and launch joint campaigns with community groups and media outlets.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/0abdfe0cfabf3caa09bb74828d363de1.jpeg\"\/>Israel&#8217;s WTM exhibition<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Israel\u2019s pavilion at this year\u2019s WTM spans 400 square meters and features exhibits on Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, desert landscapes, coastal attractions, and cultural heritage. Representatives from airlines, hotels, and tour operators joined the delegation.
